My Journey
In 2017, I made the courageous decision to donate all of my belongings and move to Kailua, Hawaii, on Oahu. It was the scariest and most rewarding choice I’ve ever made, and I enjoyed four incredible years there. In 2021, with my oldest daughter expecting, I returned to the mainland to become a full-time grandparent.
During my time on the island, I explored nearly all the major attractions. Hiking and beach hopping filled our weekends, while Sundays were often reserved for the SWAP Meet. I also spent time on the Windward side of the Big Island.
Leaving the island was tougher than I expected; my longing for Hawaii only grew. Driven by my passion, I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a travel agent. After rigorous training, I earned my certification as a Hawaii Destination Expert through the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
Hughes Happy Travel was born from my love for Hawaii’s vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes. I specialize in designing personalized travel experiences that create unforgettable memories to last a lifetime!
